Here is a list of essentials to have on-hand that makes cooking a breeze between classes, homework, work, and having fun!
Ready to “almost” eat Rice Packages – 90 seconds
Ready to “almost” eat Pasta Packages – 60 seconds
Actual pasta (different types for variety…rigatoni, fettucine)
Cans of salmon, tuna, sardines (for the brave…they really are good, and good for you!)
Canned diced tomatoes
Chicken and Veggie Broths (or vegetarian bouillon cubes work great)
Besides salt and pepper, there are a few key spices to have on-hand!
McCormick’s Steak Seasoning
Paprika and Smoked Paprika
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Trader Joe’s Sweet Chili Sauce – perfect for stir frys, dipping heated up egg/spring rolls, combining with peanut butter for a salad dressing.
Red Wine Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar (not needed often, but you know, when you do…it’s good to just have it there. I don’t think it ever spoils!)
Sweet Cooking Wine
Yellow, Dijon, or Honey Mustards
Green Dragon Sauce (Trader Joe’s)
