Yummy Baked French Toast

Great on the weekends, make this up the night before and all you need to do is bake it in the morning for a delicious treat!


Ingredients:

2-3 Day Old French Bread (already sliced, about 20 pieces). You can mix this up with a cinnamon or cinnamon raisin bread, cranberry bread, etc.

8 Large Eggs

3 Cups Milk (I usually go with Skim, but for a richer flavor, use whole or a combination with cream

1 Tsp Nutmeg

1 Tbsp Vanilla

2 Tbsp Frangelico/Hazelnut Liquer (if you're old enough to have it in the house! If not, this is delicious either way.)


Cinnamon (generous sprinkling)


Directions:

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients, less the bread. Line a baking dish with the french bread slices. Pour mixture over. Refrigerate overnight.


When ready to bake, preheat over to 350. Bake, uncovered, for 30-40 minutes. Serve with fresh maple syrup.
